Candela Ferro is without a doubt one of the most charismatic and respected Hispanic female personalities to embellish the small screen. Her work as host of the most important tv specials show on Telemundo-NBC, launched her into stardom, positioning her as one of the most recognizable and acclaimed figures in Hispanic TV.
The argentine born journalist interviewed Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett exclusively for Warner Channel. As part as her collaborations with the cable network, recently Candela interviewed Robert Downey Jr, Jude Law and Guy Ritchie for the world premiere of Sherlock Holmes, from London.
Candela has hosted the Billboard Latin Music Awards (Telemundo-NBC Universal) 4 times (2001, 2004, 2005 and 2006) an event seen by millions of viewers worldwide. Candela has also hosted “Miss Universe” the world's most important beauty pageant, for 7 consecutive years, in 2003 from Panama, 2004 from Ecuador, Thailand in 2005, Los Angeles in 2006, Mexico in 2007, Vietnam in 2008 and from The Bahamas in 2009. The transmission was live and simulcast with NBC Universal.
Candela joined E! Entertainment Latinoamérica to host her interview- show: "Mil Preguntas, Una Estrella con Candela Ferro". The series of interviews gave the audience a chance to see an intelligent, funny and curious journalist and TV personality sharing an hour conversation with world renown stars likes Penelope Cruz, Jennifer Lopez, Javier Bardem, Ricky Martin and Enrique Iglesias.
During 2007 and 2008
Candela Ferro was the anchor of "Al Rojo Vivo Weekend With Candela Ferro" on Telemundo, a news and entertainment magazine. For the show she interviewed prominent fashion designers, Carolina Herrera, Edmundo Castillo, Matthew Williamson and Anna Molinari, a true fashion icon and creative director of Italian house Blumarine.
Her striking beauty and charm make her a “darling” among the media, where she is constantly featured not only for her incomparable style, but also for her work. She was featured in People En Español Magazine as one of the “25 most beautiful” of 2001, and one of the “50 most beautiful” of 2004. She was the cover of People En Español Magazine‘s 50 most beautiful people of 2007 with Beyoncé and Mario Lopez.
Recently Candela was named again one of the Most Beautiful in the 2013 edition. She has graced the pages of Vogue Mexico Y Latinoamerica, Esquire, Elle Mexico y Latinoamérica, Ocean Drive en Español, Glamour en Español, Vanidades, Hola, Caras, Gente, Selecta, Venue Magazine and Siempre Mujer.
She has been the host of “Decisiones” for two consecutive years, one of the most successful primetime show in Telemundo and Latin America, and “Ripley’s Aunque Usted no lo Crea,” the Spanish version of the legendary TV show for 4 consecutive seasons.
In 2002 Candela presented the Golden Globe Awards (Telemundo-NBC). and she hosted for 4 consecutive years the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade also for Telemundo and simulcast by NBC.
Candela has hosted several specials related with humanitarian causes, such as Telemundo’s Tsunami special “Unidos con el Mundo: por las víctimas del Tsunami” in collaboration with the Red Cross and the special “Noche de Paz,” benefiting the Special Olympics. Candela has also contributed to the latest Red Cross ad campaign in Spanish. Also she has hosted “Live Earth : The Concerts for a Climate in Crisis” on Telemundo-NBC, this monumental music event has bring together more than 100 of today's hottest artists and two billion people to focus the world's attention on the global climate crisis and what can be done to reduce global warming.
